Do I have to make an investment choice?

No you don’t. If you don’t make an investment choice when you join, we’ll invest your account in the Balanced option*. You can switch from this option if and when you want to make a choice. Our Balanced option invests across shares, property, infrastructure, hedge funds, fixed interest and cash. It has been designed to meet the investment needs of a majority of members.

If you need assistance to make an investment choice, call us on 1300 300 273 and ask to speak to one of our Financial Education and Advice Team advisers – they can provide over-the-phone, financial advice at no cost. If you require a full financial plan, AustralianSuper members can also access commission-free financial advice from Industry Fund Financial Planning (IFFP)**. All advice from IFFP is provided on a fee-for-service basis.

 

*The Balanced option is the default option until you reach 75. If at age 75 you haven't made an investment choice your account will be switched from the Balanced option to the Conservative Balanced option.
