Tips and information on secure online transactions

Avoiding email fraud

You may have heard about email scams targeting financial services websites. You should call AustralianSuper weekdays 8am-8pm (EST) for authentication if you receive an email from us:

  • requesting you to click through to a link and input your log-on details
  • asking you to change your PIN
  • Advising you of an imminent and real threat to the security of your online account information.

AustralianSuper does not send out emails requesting personal or account information. If you receive a suspicious email, please phone AustralianSuper during business hours.

Maximising your online security

Online transactions carry a small risk and you should take steps to protect your privacy and online account:

  • Use a PIN that is easily memorised, but which is difficult for others to guess
  • Change your PIN regularly
  • Never tell your PIN to another person – and remember AustralianSuper will never ask you for your PIN
  • Do not use public computing facilities such as internet cafe`s or the library, as they may not be protected with the latest anti-virus software or they may contain keystroke-tracking software
  • Never log on to AustralianSuper's secure online facility via a link from an email
  • Ensure there is a key pad lock at the bottom of the browser to confirm your data is encrypted
  • Do not leave your computer unattended while you are logged on to AustralianSuper.
