Employer responsibilities

As an employer, you have responsibilities relating to superannuation and we understand that it can seem complicated.

This is why we provide help and assistance every step of the way, so that you can concentrate on what you do best.

The following information summarises your responsibilities:

It is also important that you keep us up to date with:

  • Changes to your business – for example, your business name, address or contact details
  • Changes to member details such as deaths, resignations, retrenchments, retirements and name and address details

To advise of changes of this nature log onto EmployerOnline or call AustralianSuper weekdays 8am-8pm (EST).

Important note

Unless you hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL), or are an authorised representative of an organisation that holds an AFSL, you cannot recommend any financial products or give advice about any superannuation funds.

Breaches of the relevant legislation could expose employers to hefty fines and/or imprisonment.

Any person wanting advice about financial products should seek advice from an Australian Financial Services licensee or an authorised representative of a Licensee.
